It was a great weekend and I had to take the "toy supervisor" shopping for the holidays. Englishtown, Raceway Park is now closed until March

Stock C6 with Z51 and A4
Just got back from the track today and ran the best time yet. It seems with these RF tires its hard to get a good lauch but I was able to to get a decent one today and made a pretty good time. It seems that it is best for me to Run in Competitve mode instead of No traction control with the stock tires (RF). This is a 05' C6 Z51 A4 stock with the eception of the air intake by callaway.
When I ran with out Traction Control I could feel my tires loosing it down the track and ran my worst time of 12.9. It my just be me but I would stick with Compeiteve mode and power brake it to 1100 RPM's with a A4 unless you get better tires. Below is my time ticket, Im car # 123....

That's a real nice time there stich. I hope mine will run a 12.65. I have basically the same car without the air intake. Might have to go buy one of those.

Good times, looks like the guys from Texas are going to be posting some good numbers from now till spring. I took my car out on drag radials the other night and made one decent pass before the track went south. I had gotten a bad tank of gas and the car was pinging some on the first pass so mph was down so I put 4 gal 100 octane in it and the mph went up but the track had no bite by then. There were too many ricers there. On this pass the car actually bogged a little. I need more seat time.

After you take your C6 to the track come back and talk to us the C6 is a whole different animal than the C5 and excellent drag times are a little harder to come by. I ran a 12.95 at 109 in my stock 2002 Z28 on the goodyears, but we are talking C6 times here.

NOPE. i probably never will either. i was 18 w/ the HT, drag racing isn't really my thing although i must admit trap speed is important to me, thats what really matters.
the main reaon though is that i have no warrantee on my C6 due to "excessive tire and brake wear indicative to abuse". trans and cluth already went once i have a feeling the the C6 just cant handle the power the same way as the c5. i had 3 c5s, drove them harder and never had a problem.

Sorry to hear about your warranty. I agree that the rear trans unit (mainly the rear gear box and axles) could benifet from better engineering. The LS2 produces to much low RPM torqe for the design. I will probley replace my rear diff box with a custom one with 3.73 gears with alittle more support on the case. Then I will remove Tourqe Managment

Can probably add a guy on digitalcorvettes who just ran a 12.5071@115 with the only mod being a tune. He added drag radials and ran 12.4636@115.09. Here's the thread:

Yes I had the rev limiter changed to 6900 rpm. I went to the track today infact. With just the tune and the stock run flats, my best time was 12.5071 @ 115.00 mph. This was at 10 am in the morning, so it was still pretty chilly outside. Later on during the day, I would range between 12.5's and 12.7's, until it started getting warmer, then it was consistant 12.7's.
