Hey Mark aren't superchargers fun!
No, not fun at all.

6 speed, no practice with the SC, meth, tires, and clutch, and rip a 10.6 in the first pass(got the boot). Can't wait till I get some seat time launching the car and add exhaust!

Thanks for work that you do! I love keeping up with the list!

C6 challenge dated 13 Nov. 2009 at Union Grove GreatLakes Dragway
1/4 mile time of 12.711 and 115.72 MPH
All that I have done was a forced air intake and reprogramed the computer

Thank you Mark

You might want to try attending a track rental. I usually go to track rentals rather than go to test & tune nights so that I am not requested to slow it down or leave

New best tonight in my bolton LS2:

60 - 1.704
330 - 4.775
1/8 - 7.3 @ 98.26 (best was a 7.29 @ 98.38)
1000 - 9.472
1/4 - 11.29 @ 122.12

I'll post the slip up later to make it official...don't have a picture of it right now as I just got home from the track.

Congrats.
Did you switch to a 3600 or are you still using the 3200?

Good running Shawn! You are getting closer to the top of LS2 bolt-ons.

Still running the 3200.

I don't want to change it out so quickly so I'm going to still make more changes to the current setup to shoot for 10s...namely skinnies, ported throttle body, lightweight battery, swapping back to non-Z51 brakes up front and of course just more practice.

Thanks Tommy! I got my second run in! Then got the boot again on my first pass of the 2nd night at the track with the setup. Same setup as posted above.

Going to have to look in to when the Houston guys rent out the track.

Good run...wish I would've known you were down there. I would've come over and said "hey".

They were frieken ****'s on Friday night about people running quick. After my first 11.2 run they told me to slow it down on EVERY run after that, even though I was hitting the brakes at the 1/8 and running 11.9-12.2

They were nothing short of pissed after my last run was another 11.2

I'm all with you on looking for a track rental on a cool night...especially once I get a cam in here. Driving an hour for 2 full passes in a bolton car is pretty weak

BTW, I'll try and get my slip posted up tonight to move up on the list.

Are you going to be at the track this weekend, Shawn? I'll have to come meet you. I've seen your car out there quite a bit, but have not seen it run. I won't be running with my hurt clutch and higher DA.

That guy was a complete **** in the booth. He was giving everybody running 11.8-12.2's crap. I talked to a bunch of guys that he was giving a hard time to.

It looks like England Green might start selling RSD bars. Jason talked to them today, and I'm going to go by the shop tomorrow and see what the deal is.

BTW, I just ordered those "other" headers too. Hope to have them next week.

I'm going to be racing at Lonestar with a few of my buddies this weekend. Weather won't be fantastic for racing, but will be nice enough just to practice 60'ing this thing into the 1.6s to help me move on up the bolton LS2 list.

Thanks for the heads up about England Green selling the RSD bars...I'll keep an eye out for more info. I'll definitely need to be looking into that after this summer (cam and nitrous going in).

Good luck with your headers...mine have been great going on 2 years now

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW PB. It was my pleasure meeting you on Friday and lifting a few after the track. I'll be their on Wed night after HP Sales makes a few changes in my shift points. Hopefully.. I won't be hitting the rev limiter on every shift..like I did Friday night.....MIKE

If you had HP Tuner that would have been an easy fix at the track. I make changes usually after the first pass almost every time I go to the track.

I'm going to buy credits from HP for my car so Joe G can help with some fine tuning at track. I haven't found this necessary in the past with my stock(bolt-on) set up...but with this new cam...the torque converter and shift points changed. I'm not going to keep this new cam but it will be replaced with a smaller more managageable one. This one just has too too much overlap for a daily driver. But...I will say it feels good at the track and I think it will run a 10.5---10.6 with a little more tweaking and a looser converter and some cooler weather. It ran a 10.79 two weaks ago with a positive DA of about 500. I'll have Joe G post my time slip if I don't improve on this 10.79 E.T. by this Thursday. Thanks for your input. MIKE

If you and Joe can share his HPT then that's great but you really need feed back to know what to change and how much. You really need to log your passes too so you will know what the engine/car is doing so you can make good changes. And even with a bolt on car to optimize. I really don't see how a tuner can get everything right on a dyno. It takes making passes from zero as well.

You definitely have more than a 10.79 with a positive DA and if you only got a dyno tune.

Yeah, it was fun except for the part of you kicking my but all the way down the track every time we raced. You know, a nice guy would have let me win one.
