Just wondering, the stock cars running low 12's, what small changes are they making to their cars that are not considered mods? (filters, fuel, tires, tune etc..)
While I cannot speak for all on the stock list, I can assure you that my car was truly bone stock right down to the tires and paper air filters when I made those passes and yes the (air/track) conditions were very good.

Best ET was 8.428 but that seems to have been an anomaly. Average for 9 runs was 8.53.
So without a trap speed, can I still be on the list?
Got the speed from the guy running with me, he says we were doing 85 at the light so my 1/8 data would be

I was running the stock tires on a track that was slippery, outside temp was 14 deg C, and 46% humidity. Are these low 12 times only happening on perfect weather days and fully prepped tracks, or is it a certain location where the faster times are being recorded?
We have utilized the honor system with our members watching the numbers that I post from other members...... if something is someone usually posts a question. So far everyone has been a gentlemen and we have had only three individuals removed from the list
since the list has been in existance.
With regard to your C6
If you want to run it show room stock without playing with anything(bring it up to the tree and go) it will run 12.8 -12.9 in cool temps and 13.1 -13.2 in 90 degree heat.
A bone stock A4 3.15 geared C6 should record a best elasped time on a well prepped track in the 12.5 - 12.6 range with lower than stock air pressure in the rears and higher than stock air pressure in the fronts
on well heated tires.
Since you want to run stock but not "exactly stock" and have already done a home brew CAI ....... you can also add a 160 degree stat, TB spacer, set the fan to go on 20% at 195 degrees and then ramp up to full, index the spark plugs and run Z51 tires (non run flats would be even better). The car can run in the 12.30s - 12.40s if you heat the tires really good.
TommyD, thanks for updating the list. You can take me off the bottom of the list (you have me down twice). The 13.40 runs last fall were with 87 octane. This years change was Sonoco 94 with a 1/2" crack of air up front. Has anyone done a before and after on the same day same track with the shroud opened? Not sure if anything was really gained. I wanted to do another pass with it closed but the track was getting too slippery.

Sorry Howard,
Doing this late at night I did not realize that the second entry was a different car. I have been trying not to post the same individual on the same list (ie two entries on the show room stock list) I now know that you and Jim like playing musical Corvettes so I'll be more careful in the future
I ran my 07 Z51 m6 a month ago w/400 miles and around 75 degree temps and a headwind and first run was the best at 12.665@113.03 with the air filter removed and a 2.106 60' on the run flats. I installed the air filter later to notice it did not seem to make any difference in the time or speed.
I went down last night in 85 degree weather and no wind with a best 60' of 2.07 and a best et of 12.75@ 112.52. The car now has 1400 miles on it and is untouched but I am getting ready to mod it. I wanted to see what my best time would be before modding it.
Not going to sugarcoat it or anything, that's pretty bad LOL.
But, considering the altitude (is that 5280 feet the actual physical altitude or was that the DA (density altitude) reading?) and the heat etc it may not be far off that car's maximum possible best in those conditions.
