Default Picking up my Cammed C6 today!

I dropped my 05 Z51 at RPM in Claymont Delaware to have a cam installed and a dyno tune done last week.

The cam specs are 232/234 595/598 112LSA and I made 455rwhp and 415 rwtq with Kooks 1 7/8", Vararam, ported tb and Corsa Sports.

My tuner said I maxed out the injectors and I will make more with new ones and an updated tune.

I'm picking it up today because I just got back from the Caribbean but I can't wait to hear it. I'll keep you all posted! Happy Holidays!

Those are some STOUT results for cam only! Sounds like heads + cam numbers. Do you have a FAST? Post up a dyno sheet if you can.

Wow, this is good to know as I will doing almost the same thing but my cam will be smaller, 222/224 566/568 112LSA with Kooks 1 7/8" off road pipes, Vararam, ported and polished TB, Borla Stingers, 180 thermostat.

Can't wait to get mine done.

Yes, Cam only. I have to pick up my dyno sheet from the tuner after christmas because he needed to make scans to post on his site. I also have a 160 stat.

The Headers have cats also.

The car sounds absolutely sick and is very very fast. I am pleased.

Thoughts?

You're going to love the cam. I love my GT11. You may experience a little jumping when trying to idle through parking lots.

Now it's time to add a 4.10 rearend and you'll really feel the cam.

Do you have a FAST intake? You may have the record for cam only! I am eager to see the dyno sheet.

I do experience some surging? at idle speeds, but it is predictable and controllable.

It is a Comp Cams, I dont' believe it is a custom grind.

Nope, no FAST, mods list is above and I want to stress that I maxed out the injectors on the final run. There is more power in her. It is very DDable.

Record for what? I'm sure this is not the most aggressive am put in a C6, or did you mean for a similar grind?

Very impressive numbers but based on my results and experience with my cam only C6 I would guess this car is very peaky. I say this based on the fact of no FAST in the mix of your mods.

I made good numbers pre-FAST on my car, still slightly lower than yours, BUT post- FAST it made just 5ish more peak power but the powerband under the curve was just nasty.

Congrats on the current #'s and enjoy it thru the holidays but I would highly suggest a FAST after the new year. You want to talk about rolling..........the FAST will open that cam up like nothing else.

Let's see the dyno graph.

I researched cam only for a long time before I went with the biggest you can put in without fly cutting, the G5x3 which is about 238/242 600/610. I read a ton of cam threads and looked at a bunch of dyno sheets. With my G5x3 I only got 436/392 which is on par with the huge cammed cars (I've got 3.90 gears pulling the dyno down a little.

That's why I'm amazed to see this smaller cam do 455/415 without a FAST. Those are very high numbers from what I've seen, particularly the torque number. Very stout results indeed.

Wow did the comp 228-232 575/588 113LSA, 1.75 kooks, hi flo cats, x-pipe, vortex ram air, 4.10's.. stock intake prior to fast..I got only 413rwhp and 380rwtq, granted the 4.10 show less on the dyno probably by 15 hp, your numbers are incredible..Never seen a LS2 cam only stock intake set up, get those numbers..Has anyone?

I'm glad to see all this feedback and that you all are so excited. My tuner was pretty impressed too. I saw the sheet and saw the numbers but I can't explain the graph from memory. I promise I will get it up here as soon as possible.

I think we are all wondering what type of dyno it was on, do you happen to know?

To late got it in already and I am having the company who ported and polished my new TB to port out an intake. But since the thermo is cheap I may sell it and get a 160.
