So here's my dilemma - I am getting ready to ship my hoodliner to get painted. I just picked it up from GM and the liner is in great shape (finally - this is the second one because the first came in all hosed up). It comes in very big box (53x43x6). The problem is that the liner moves around iunside because the box is significantly bigger than the liner. My question is - what is the best way to pack/ship it?
I have thought of a few options:
1. Fill the entire dead space in the box with styrofoam peanuts to insulate the liner.
2. Use 1x2s to make kind of a surrounding wood box to protect it, and then put it int he cardboard box and ship it.
Wrap the entire liner in thick bubble wrap and then put it in the box.
My biggest concern is the box getting crushed since the liner is molded. Any thoughts on the proposed methods above, or do you have another one I haven't thought of? Thanks!
