Default Cam/Vacuum Question

Just want to make sure about something while I'm planning out my future engine. It'll be a cammed out 402 LS2. And while talking with a friend about the cam he's putting in his 383 for a 69 camaro, I realized that this whole time I have not thought about vacuum issuse with my 402. Right now I'm thinking about something like a 230/235 .600/.600 114 is what I'm wanting to go with. One thing is for sure it will not be bigger than 240@.050 so will I have any vacuum issues on my C6. I'm mostly worried about the brakes. And at what point does it become an issue.

Thanks,
Steven

Not to sure but I believe with the 114 LSA you shouldn't have a vacuum problem. Hopefully SpinMonster will respond or one of the more knowledgeable guys here.

Plenty of people run a cam that size and do not have vacuum issues. Go for it.

Just like other things in life size matters. In this case 12" is a 'safe' minimum at an idle. With your cubic inches and duration @ .050 and your lobe separation you shouldn't have too much problem.

I've got a 404 with a 236/242 on a 114 and I've got no issues. I had a 254 on a 112 in my car and it didn't have any issues either.

You'll be fine. I have a 402 with cam specs checking in at 244/250 114lsa. I see 13-14" at idle.
