Lookin to reduce weight in my 07 MN6 C6 -I know an aluminum flywheel will work, I've already swapped out my 19 x 10s out back w Lighter 17x9s w/ Drag Radials (reduced rotating mass). I was looking for a recent thread on here about Brembo 6 piston caliper brakes being lighter than the OEM 6 piston brakes for the ZO6. I'd like to know where that 411 was obtained since the Big brake kit will be a future upgrade for me. Any other suggestions will be cool-ThanksP.S. Not looking to strip out the interior
Replace power seats with race seats (the Recaro Pole Position seats are quite easy to get in and out of) and save 20-25 lbs per seat. Install LG Pro headers and save maybe 30 lbs. Upgrading the brakes with 2-piece rotors might save 5 lbs per wheel, or 20 lbs total. The total weight savings might be as much as 100 lbs!
I know the ZO6 Widebody conversion kit w/ the carbon fiber fenders will shave some weight I'm hoping GM will offer the ZR1 Body kit w/ the light weight rear window
That is why Callaway offers the Dymag Carbon Fiber/Magnesium wheel as an option for C6 Corvettes and standard on their C16 Corvette. The outer shell is made of carbon fiber and the center spokes are made of magnesium and attached to the rim with titanium hardware. A 20 x 12 wheel weights about 16 lbs. You can easily lift it with one hand.
This wheel alone easily removes 20-30 lbs of weight from each corner of the car depending on what the car originally wore.
Group 51 Optima in the trunk. It has a vent tube port so you don't have to worry about fumes getting into the passenger compartment. If you need the vent port elbow, just send me a PM and I will sent you next week when I go back to work.

by the time you add number 1 or 2 cable to the back, you dont save any weight. just better transfer

Very true, I think the Z06 has almost 20 pounds of cable, but a group 51 under the hood will save you weight. You will just need a longer puck to hold it down.

Reducing unsprung weight like the wheels tires and brakes are going to have a more dramatic effect from a performance perspective because it's unsprung weight.
I removed a lot of metal from the bottom of my car, yet again im crazy like that hahahahaha......when i take it to the tracks i even take out my battery and throw in a 12 volt motor cycle battery in there........ i take out the passenger seats, all of the plastic covers on the motor, radio
glove compartment, mufflers, seat belts and a whole bunch of plastic from the inside of the car, basically everything i can that will allow the car to work properly, and when i get back home im too lazy to put it back onill drive my car for a week get sick of the way it looks and rebuild it myself, i can guarantee almost a full second of time i gain from the weight i lose
