Yes. Due to the shape of the shroud there's no way to line up the template exactly. So the instructions should say trim a little at a time until the unit fits properly. It's pretty obvious and no big deal. The problem is that each person has a different level of expertise. There's more to the install than removing and replacing a couple of screws ...
