Default Nav Screen Problem

I have a 2005 C6 with navigation system. Given the time of year/season, I'm not getting much use of the car. The last two times I've jumped in for a drive the Nav screen is dark. However, after the car gets warmed up the screen will come on, and stay on. Radio works even when screen is dark.

Is this a major problem? Anyone else deal with a similar issue? I have an extended warranty. Thanks in advance for any comments.

What was the temperature when you started up the car?

It is garage stored (unheated but connected), so not any cooler than 45-50 degrees.

I've seen this even in the summer if the car has sit for an extended period. I'm guessing it's related to the battery being low after sitting so long. Like you said, drive it a bit, shut it off and restart it and it comes right up.

I've noticed some dimming when cold, but certainly not dark. Oh, 07 but don't think it makes a difference as LCD screen is likely the same.

My car does the same but it's because the garage is dark and it takes a few minutes of driving before the lights go off and the screen changes.
