Default slight delay when decelerating

Had my 07 'street tuned' (no dyno) a couple of months ago for my kooks headers, corsa sports, and vararam. Seemed to run fine. Finished my FAST install a few days ago, but no tune yet. The car has a noticable increase in SOTP acceleration. Awesome. However, the other thing I noticed is at almost any throttle position, when I come off the gas pedal, there is a slight delay of almost 2 seconds before I feel the car decelerate. It's like the computer needs to think about it for a second or two, then do it's thing. I am used to feeling an immediate deceleration when I let up on the gas. Not anymore. Any thoughts. And by the way, when I do decelerate, it always burbles, then gives me a few loud pops, all of which happened after the header install. I understand that is normal, but I have to wonder if there is a relationship between the delayed deceleration and the poping.

I hate the drive by wire throttle - it's always behind what you want. When I drive my old Vette it about throws you back in the seat since it actually gives you the trottle that you ask for. Makes you realize how much the drive by wire interferes - IMHO
