hey guys, i was wondering for those who have cutouts what kind of switch is used? could a simple on off switch work? off being closed and on being open? would the switch given by the company fit in your ashtray?
if anyone has pics they would be appreciated, thanks

Simple on off switch will work.Don't have them in the vet but I do in my Camaro. The on off switch that came with my cut-outs is a small rocker type with the bezel measuring about 1-1/2 inches long x 3/4 wide,so fitting it in the ashtray should not be a problem.Just one note on the switch, the one I have is of a momentary type, meaning the switch automatically returns to the center/off position when released.I am sure they do this so the switch cannot be left on accidentally, which would probably burn up the servo motors.Hope this helps
i was hoping to use an excisting switch or something of the similar so that my switch panel looks somewhat organized, id also like to keep the switch in my ashtray for quick access, i plan to drive with the cutouts open alot and close for cops

The switch that comes with the cutouts is pretty big as it is a momentary on and momentary off. I don't think you could fit it in the ashtray but you could drill a hole in the side of the console where it goes from the tunnel to the dash and put it there, there's room behind there IIRC. Or just use a switch plate on the screw under the dash like I did, it's not noticable but easy to get to.
Spin, no window switch on my gas pedal yet!!
Oh and if I didn't need to have my trailer hitch, I'd consider putting on the Z06 mufflers instead of cutouts now that Pipedreams makes the all in one Mild to Wild setup with vacuum pump. It's a simpler setup, albeit more expensive than cutouts unless you get the Z06 mufflers for free.
