I'm going to have my car at LG Motorsports in March for installation of some LT's and a dyno tune. I'd like to get close to 400 rwhp without getting into the motor. I was thinking about a FAST intake but am not too crazy about modifying my firewall, and the cost of the intake is pretty substantial. I also would like to keep the FRC's installed because I just like how they look.

Other than my CAI, full exhaust, and dyno tune, what other things could I have done while there to help me get close to 400 rwhp?

This is of course on my C6.

I kept the FRC's on mine with the FAST.

Full bolt-ons and a good tune should get you REALLY close, it could very well get you there. Once you taste it, you'll change your mind about internals and get a cam. . .

Anthony -- I have seen somewhere here where there is a notch you can cut on the FAST so you don't have to mod your firewall. Know anything about this?

Also, with what I'm going to be doing, do you guys usually recommend a stat?

SDPC -- Define full bolt ons please.

I cut the intake on my car, as a few others have as well.

A 160 stat is always a good option, especially in Texas heat!

Full bolt on's would typically mean: Headers, cat back, air filter, thermostat, underdrive crank pulley, ported throttle body, intake manifold.......anything external engine (no cam's, heads, rockers, pistons....)

With my LS2 motor, kooks, cat back magnaflows, 160 ,stinger, 224/228/581/588/114, and a tune by Charlie @ RPM, Made 410rwhp/394rwtq. Added a FAST 90, retuned and made 425rwhp/405rwtq. You can get close, but you'll need the cam to get over 400rwhp. The FAST alone will put you only in the mid 390's. My opinion.

You don't need a cam to get the car over 400.

My car (2006 Z51 M6) stock vs. it's first pull after the intake.

LG Pro Long Tubes, Borla Touring Z06 cat back, HallTech stinger, FAST intake, LG Tune of course .

Un ported throttle body, Un ported intake, no underdrive
