Default Jacking Puck

I know this is old topic, just trying to decide which type to purchase. I noticed several types available, I would like to get non-permanent pucks, and my choices are:
- Std aluminum from Elite Engineering, my concern is whether the aluminum will ruin the underbody of the car that in contact with
- Hockey Puck that they sell at ebay, seems the cheapest option. How well do they work compared to the aluminum?
- Puck from Katech, seems the best option but it's much pricier than the other 2 options above

Need your input

Thanks

The selection depends on your answers to a few questions...

How often do you plan to jack your car?

Do you care what the pucks look like?

How much do you want to spend?

Default pucks

got mine from elite eng. I think? They were thicker than the rest, some jack " cups" are deeper, just the rim will touch the car even with the puck on. so I went with Elite's, the mach. work is flawless! the price was right 50 bucks or so? choice of colors blue or red and even has C6 mach. in the top of each one. I use that blue painters tape at each point when I use them so I don't forget one{ already have!} and it survived a 60mph launching. my home jack is a blue point alum. race jack. it has a rubber pad in the cup {no slipping} you can always make one for any jack. IMHO

Got mine, on Ebay. I leave them on, permanently. I have lifted the Vette, a couple times, myself, plus it was lifted once, at the dealer. They've worked fine, so far. -- --

I've been using Elite Engieering pucks for 3-years now and use them often (wheel removal/cleaning) - at least 2 to 3 times a month. Never experienced any problems with use of the pucks. Not a fan of permanent mounts - while there are other option to lift your vehicle, these are easy to use, nice looking, light-weight, functional and most importantly, will avoid damage to the underside/rails of your vette. Regardless of whose band you go with, I highly recommend jacking pucks.

I put on the rectangular BMW pucks and leave them in, not for my use actually, but in the event I ever need a shop to put 'er in the air.

Used hockey pucks work well..... just don't cost much.
