Default Looking for tach wire..

I am looking for a tach signal to use with a MSD window switch. I remember the C5's had a wire you could tap into near the coils but also remember a wire under the underhood fuse box. Can anyone steer me into the right direction?

Thanks

Man I wish I could tell you exactly but do a search. I know it's a white wire in one of the main clusters behind the pass side front wheel and for some reason number 48 comes to mind. Anyways, it's available just have to search this section for the answer.

Take a look at forum vendor Sunset Orange Creations' website:

http://sunsetorangecreations.com/upl...er_ver_1.1.pdf

In Step #5 he has info on finding a tach wire.

3 places you can find wire:

1 - @ PCM
J1 connector (blue one) pin #48

2 - @ instrument cluster
pin #5 on connector #2

3 - @ HUD
pin #4

4 - In the wire bundle behind the fuse block in the passenger footwell, as mentioned in the post above the location can be found in Sunset Orange's website.

Thanks guys!

I always remembered a white wire that was up near the injector fuel rails that also could be used. Its for a MSD window switch that is located in the engine compartment.

Isn't there also a tach wire under the underhood fuse box?

Thanks
