Here is what I'm looking to get done. I would already have all the parts btw.
-Vararam
-Intake Couplers
-FAST
-G5x1
-160* T-Stat
-UD Pulley w/ accessory belts
-Stainless Works LT Headers w/ x-pipe
-Flowmasters
-MGW Shifter
I'd say personally I'm capable of everything but definetly the cam, probably the UD pulley and maybe the T-stat. I do have friends though (believe it or not) who would probably be capable of the cam, pulley and t-stat. But of course not the dyno tuning which I would take to professionals for.
My question is would It be worth it to install what I can myself and have the installed/tuner do the rest that I can't or would the price not change that much?
Are you the kind of guy who enjoys working on your vette? If you are, then by all means, start on your list. If you don't enjoy it, then spend the money to have someone else do it for you. And if money is an issue, whatever you can competently install yourself will save you money in the end. Personally, I had a blast installing my Kooks, Corsa, Vararam, FAST, and tstat. We are here to give you tips. But you will have to ask someone other than me about how to install a cam!
Enjoy your mods.
