I saw a post here on the forum about nav disc updates. I read that you can get a free nav disc update, and was wondering what I need to do to get one. Can anyone help me out?

I would think that as long as two map updates haven't been issued to your VIN, you would still be entitled, but you might want to call the GMNavDisc center and ask them - just to be sure!
Did they update the program at all? What I mean is, do they actually SPEAK the street names instead of just turn left/right? I know the maps get updated but it would be nice if they made some additional updates as well to the software. Perhaps different voices too...Anybody know?
Curious if the 08 disk comes out in Jan or .... Nov ? I know the portable gps units are updated in August or Sep. What is the latest one, anyone know off the top of their head ? I hate calling 800 numbers and punching buttons.
I called and spoke to the NavCenter. There are no updates for the '05's; but, you can order the 2007 version for around $60 plus shipping. The lady told me that they would work. I asked what version and she told me that they don't go by versions they go by years. She gave me the product ID number but I let it in my office. Just call and they'll give it to you or you can order it from them.
