I noticed on my friend's car (c6 dvl) that his door looked like it was manufactured from a cheap mold. Look at the lower middle (slightly to the left) in the pic. below....it looks like the mold was crudely broken when they stamped the door. It looks like a little bubble at the bottom of the door....does your car have this? (It's the bottom rear of the door - passenger side)
OK. You made me go out to the garage and look, and yes, my car has the same slight imperfection at the bottom of the door, though not nearly as pronounced as your seems to be........hmmmmmmmmm.

very interesting...
do you have it on both doors? (sorry if you have to go out again)
Ed has it on both doors.
It was a free mod they forgot to tell you about......
True, it's what helps the '08s make so much power, the airstream passes over that one section of the doors and actually curves back around into the air filter inlet area, it's a very trick system.

Jeez Louise......two trips out to the garage only to discover two flaws on my car.........YES! I have this on both sides. What led you to discover this? It is so small as to be unnoticable unless you are down on your knees, leaning over and 4 inches from the car???? In a way I am glad that my car is no longer perfect.......takes all the stress of trying to keep it that way off me!!!

I have a yellow '08 vert and it was on a lift today (for a new exhaust system -- see link below). While on the lift, DVL noticed it on my car, and started making fun of it, so I went to his car and saw it too (and took the pic). It made us wonder if it was on all c6s or just 2008..... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1563921647

I think GM uses the same mold style mold as the 1:24 scale plastic model cars, where you have to snap the parts of a parts tree
Yeah, my victory red 08 has it too. Albeit, it is worse on the driver side (and really, mine is barely noticable). The passenger side is almost perfect.
With that said however, I only worry about the rear end of my new 08 Z51 Coupe. That's what almost all are going to be staring at anyway.
