If the tune was made without using your car's read file then it wont load because you're not licensed to use that tune. You can copy and paste the tables to a tune you read from your car and load that.
Glad you found it. We all learned something--that a trans shift cable problem can act like a flash problem. Good to know for future reference.
From your original post, this is what we should have focused in on.....
"Appears to load but his tune loaded and even my original OEM reloaded, result in A6 shifting issues, ie R only if from P, no D to N to R in parking lot. Can go to P then get R. Also paddle mode works in D also not just S."
There is no way the tune file could have resulted in this, only the shifter cable, I think. It is amazing that we didn't focus on your description. Result of power of suggestion and defensive response on the part of those of us that use HPTuners all the time without any problems.
Also, was it coincidence that the shifter problem occurred at exactly the same time that the tune was done? Why is that? Gear change, trans change, what?
I am a little embarrassed. You told us enough for us to be able to help you analyze the problem, but we let you steer us to a possible tune file problem rather than to challenge what else was done to the car at the same time the tune was changed.

Diff was changed to 3:15, trans input cable end was semi installed, worked after diff change but was found to not be totally clipped on later. So I went home while it was mostly on and appearing ok. Next day started HP work and the cable must have then started to loosten at fitting more to cause the problem. This was all verified and replicated at the shop when we fixed it.
Thanks for the clarification. We all learned something. Looks like you got it fixed and verified that the cable was the problem. Good of HPTuners guys to try to help you. You owe them a cold one.
