Default Intake Question ~: Help

I recently installed the vararam intake
and you know there are two parts of the intake
top and bottom part for the vararam intake which can split into two. in the middle there is a filter
but between those two joints i have some gaps in edges between top and bottom part of the intake. i can stick my finger in edges. ... is that happening to you guys too or is it just happening to me ?

I suggest you call Varrarm; they're in Texas.

Vararam is out in pasadena I believe...so if you have some time maybe swing by their shop so they can get a look at it.

Come down to HRP sometime and lets line em up

Yes, very common. That is one part of the fitment problem that everyone complains about. I was stunned when I first put the 2 halves together. But as Vararam will tell you (and if you look carefully,) the filter is sealed by the gaskets on the top and bottom. It is just the sides that have this wide gap. I do wish it was a better fit for sure. That being said, these gaskets tend to shift, and worst case can cause a lose of the seal. Vararam has since come out with wider gaskets. I myself (and many others I assume) have used RTV to keep the gaskets in place. Some have used gel super glue. That is why I check gaskets and seal every 3000 miles or so. And obviously, that is a good time to clean the filter.

Do let us know if Vararam tells you (or sends you) something different.
