I had done 'sort of' a C6 version of the C5's zip tie mod (or at least that's what I'd called it ) on my car before I got a Vararam on there.
What I did was take the 'slip on' rain guard off of course, then I cut the tops off of the filter boxes exposing the filters all the way around the top and not just on the sides as they were from the factory.
I really don't think it helped much at all though.
