I would guess at least 180 or more, though I never saw anything on that one. Go figure, more people have an automatic Corvette but the magazines rarely ever test them. Also, I don't know if the 2.73 would have the same top speed as the 3.15 geared A4?
Hopefully someone can help you out with this. I'm Sorry nobody has responded.

Top speed is probably drag limited on the automatics as well. If you want to go faster visit a performance shop I'm sure they would be more then happy to help.

I thought it was 186? Or is that for the manual only?

It was tested on the GM track by GM drivers at 186 in a manual tranny C6. Since the auto tranny supposedly has slightly more drivetrain loss, presumably, the automatic wouldn't be quite as fast on the top end.

I know what you mean, you just need so much road. Where I live it would almost be impossible in my C6, My Z06 is a different story... I don't have the aero mods for the kind of speeds my Z06 can achieve so I wouldn't even try it if it was legal.

I maxed out my C5 Z06 at 179 and it felt perfectly fine.
I remember reading that it has some front end lift past 170 though. The C6 is a safer car to do a top speed run in. Haven't had the chance to try it though; I only do things like that in places where I am convinced that it is absolutely safe.

I prefer to express it as Mach .24

Remember to fold the mirrors in! LOL

Oh yeah, and the tire pressure must be changed over a certain speed.
Check the manual.
