I asked Andy Green that same Question when he installed a forged LS3/L92 427 in my 05 Z51 6sp. His answer, knowing that the car was a daily driver and never going to the track, and would always run street tires; Don't worry it woun't break. With 525rwhp/500rwtq the car is severely traction limited. Now if I got stupid and put DR's on and the car hooked, then I think the entire drivetrain would be in the street. It's a 3rd and 4th gear road car.

see thats the whole point of the question, i would like to take it a few times to the track, have a feeling it should do 11"s would like to see, but afraid that i would come back on a truck! i do have a dbl faced clutch, so know if i hook up the tires are gonna be a weak link, then, ????????? having fun is 1 thing, but there has to be a way to do it without breaking so many parts, and the *** end [from everything i have read] is the weak link
