The problem, as I guessed & confirmed with the factory, is that the handles are tapping against the rest of the roof assembly. The new handles are supposed to get rid of that.

If that is the problem then how does lubing the rollers and pins do anything? Seem's to me if the problem was with the handles amking contact with the roof lubing the roller would do absolutely nothing.
What are the "handles" that you guys are referring to? Is that the front latches?
To get the snap-crackle-pop noises from the roof (and no one is debating on whether they exist) something hard must be rubbing on another hard surface. In other words, I've read a lot of threads on lubing the moldings and every contact point of the roof to the car. That in my opinion is a waste of time. Take the soft molding and rub it against anything on the roof and you're not going to get the loud noises, it just won't be that loud. But take the metal pins against the hard plastic holes and there is another opportunity for a loud noise. Or as I suggested the rollers of the roof handle against the metal contact points of the car, another opportunity. I suppose that the latch handle could be making contact with the car on the back side of the handle. You'd probably see signs of wear on one or the other with the roof off. I also mentioned above that the rear latch is adjustable and mine appeared loose. I don't know if that was the fix or the lube was the fix because I did them both at the same time.
I'd still like to hear from someone else that tried the lube method. That was my number one complaint about the car when it started popping and cracking. But that is a non-issue now, completely gone and I have the roof on and off the car several times a month.
My problem is more of a cross between a creek and a squeek, but it sounds like it is coming from the rear pins on the roof panel and only on rough bouncy road. on smooth pavement, no noise. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes, I have a chirp on the driver's side on bumpy road surfaces and I hear it when I close the door. Going down regular roads it's quiet.
I think there's another thread on here somewhere about a frame bracket needing to be welded in, and your symptoms kind of sound like that.
It's worth looking into...
I've been emailing with the factory & April is the expected date for the parts. They sent me a temporary set of handles which they say will take care of the problem but I don't have a proper tork wrench & the weather is too bad to take the car out to the dealer.
What to do... Read post #14 and do that. Then post whether it worked or it didn't work. Pay attention to the contact points on the front latches. Open and close it while looking under it, you'll see a little roller and its metal contact area. Lube the roller and the contact points of the roller. If it works you owe me a beer. If it doesn't work then you at least tried something.
I'll try and i'll let you know , If it works i'll owe you a beer
Someone from the factory today called me to ask how I'm enjoying my new Corvette.
I mentioned the creaking latch problem to them and they said that a new engineer would contact me.
Hopefully I'll hear back soon.
I am surprised this hasn't been posted in this thread yet, but you might want to check out the following thread on a very easy DIY fix that seems to be working...

TSB's do not extend the warranty. They are simply bulletins sent to the dealers to advise of a common problem found and the repair procedure.
If you have popping noises coming from the roof when the car is moving, i would really recommend trying mrtoner's e-clip fix. My roof was popping and nothing would stop it (tried lubing seals, adjusting latches, even had roof replaced when it started to separate). After putting in the e-clips we took a 2,500 mile road trip in the car and have not had one pop or noise from the top... For the $2 and 20 minutes of your time, it is really worth the effort.
