Default 6.0 vs. 6.2 (this is technical question)

Is the 6.2L just a stroked version of the 6.0? What is the difference between the two on the rod length, stroke, and overall rod ratio?

I'm just curious because I'm wondering if GM is approaching the limits of this engine. I'd like to know the rod angle on the 6.0L. If it already had a semi-high rod angle, pushing it to 6.2 gives it a lower rod ratio and decreases durability.

Does anyone know this information? Tried Google, couldn't find it.

The stroke, rod length, and of course rod/stroke ratio are the same for the two engines. The 6.2 has a larger bore. And no, 6.2 is not the limit for this engine...there is an 8L version out there too.

It's a bigger bore. But the rod angle alone isn't indicative of a durabilty problem. The rod/stroke ratio debate is still going on.

Your rod ratio will be the same between the 6.0 and the 6.2. It has a rod ratio @ 1.68
