Hypertech 160 Deg. T-Stat: Help!

I purchased a Hypertech 160 deg. thermostat, part no. 1008, for a 2007 Z51. It doesn't fit and is much smaller than the GM original.

I called the supplier, and they told me that is the right part number. However, my installer says they have several thermostats with part no. 1008, and they are all too small.

Does anyone know the right part number? Or, can you recommend another brand?

Yes, Get a LPE thermostat from the corvette garage. They have one with dual springs. Be minefull of proper installation. Mine works beautiful with proper fan settings. There are many threads on this Good luck
