Default Firestone Run Flats

I just turned 21,000 miles on my 2006 C6 and it's time for new tires. I use my Corvette daily and I am on the cellphone in the car often. The noise from the OEM Goodyears makes it difficult to hear on the cell so I am looking for a quieter replacement tire and I want to stay with runflats. Any suggestions and does anyone have experience with the Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals?
Thanks in advance...Mark

I love my Firestone Wide Ovals. I'm going to hate to see them go!

Default tire noise

I can't believe some of you guys have exhausts that are so quiet that you can hear tire noise. Shame on you. I have two 'Vettes - a '97 and an '06 - and both have exhausts that drown out any tire noise. Both cars have the OEM tires, but I have no idea if they make any noise. And that's how it should be!

Ha ha...I agree. Tire noise should never be an issue.

I've only have a few hundred miles on my Firestone Wide Ovals but they are very, very quiet. The F1's got noisy toward the end.

On that same thread someone said it was a tire for the C5 and not the wide oval for the C6 that was discontinued according to tirerack.
