Default tire pressure monitor/ DR questions

How can I disable the tire pressure monitor with DRs? It wont allow me to go into competitive driving mode.

Do people usually just run with traction control off with DRs?

Is there a fuse I can pull to disable traction/active handling and allow me to enter competitive driving mode?

Thanks!

So you just cant run in competitive mode and you have to have active handling on when using DRs?

Im used to just pulling a fuse and disabling traction control and active handling(way too sensitive) on my GP.

You need to turn it off or clear it when you start the car if you dont do it in the right order you cant go into comp mode.

Try starting the car clearing the code then hit the tc button twice you cant go into Comp mode if you are turning.

Or start the car and hit the tc button twice then clear the code.

I can never remember the order I just do it automaticly.

You can simply run in TC off mode too It should make no difference in ET.

Just turn TC off and leave full AH on for drag racing.

I don't know whether ayousef had AH on or not, but if he didn't it sure might have helped. Read this thread if you haven't already:

There is no way to disable the system.

thanks I was just upset that I couldnt go into competitive driving mode as I thought the shifts were raised in comp mode.

BTW everything worked fine with the AH on and traction control off as everyone has been telling me.

Thanks all!

AH will only kick in at the track if your tail is outrunning the front of the car, i.e., coming around on you, in which case, you'll be glad you have AH on , especially if you can't lift in time and go 11/10ths.

I run drag radials with no sensors and have yet to get any messages. The trick is to keep the wheels with the sensors next to the car in the garage. I've driven around for a day and have yet to have a problem.

I've always run at the drags and autocrosses with both TC & AH off (hold the button for 5 seconds). However, one of the CF members had a big moment and he believes that AH saved his butt. So from now on I'm running with TC off but leaving AH on.

Good luck,
Glenn
