First performance mod

I'm looking to make my first performance related mod by adding a Vararam CAI.

Is this a good place to start? Will I notice any increase in sound from the muffler?

That was my very first mod. You would be able to here the VaraRam when you accelerate rapidly....sounds like a mini supercharger.

Yes. Good place to start. No increase in sound level from muffler.

no sound from mufflers but put your head near the front dam & hold on to your ears! not loud but it might suck them off your head.

vararam noise

Dont believe everthing that people say they hear, the Vararam is very quite, but it also provides one of the coolest and most dramatic airflow inductions for you car. And yes, this is truely a (cold air intake) many others claim this but are nothing more than hot air breathers. I had my tuner data log my air intake temp before and after installing my Vararam,here in Las Vegas on that day it was a nice cool 95 deg's,. The air temps before and after showed a drop of 103 degrees into the engine, and you know what they say " heat kills" cool air means power.
