how hard is it to tune your own car with the diablo hand held tuner vs getting a tune from the speed shop and which is more cost effective

Hand helds can be a very dangerous thing in the hands of someone who is unfamiliar with tuning. I have seen the damage done by what initially feels like a good tune gone very very wrong for clients of ours who have initially attempted to try tuning on their own. It doesn't take much to be over the edge and not realize it, in fact it may initially feel better than the correct tune with appropriate timing and fuel tables.

Plus there is no amount that can pay for the peace of mind that it is done right the first time. Don't turn your car into a science project it can be pretty pricey.

So initially there may be a cost savings, but that may be short lived.

If you have any questions just shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Max
