Default What is the Part# for the Bassani Catback for the C6 with A6 Trans?

When I go to the Bassani Website, I only see a catback system for the
Corvette Z06.

Is there a catback system for the regular C6 (and A6 Automatic)?
If so, what is the part no?

Where can I get the Lowest Price for the system?

thanks

I personally love Bassani. I have their system on my GTO, and I would have it on my C6 if it would bolt to Kooks. I was interested in Bassani's headers untill I realized they were carbon steel..and I saw this picture-

There is no way I am putting a header with slipfits in the primaries on my car. Talk about the chance for leaks and fit issues! Also, 1 7/8" to 2 1/8" stepped primaries are too big for most LS2's

We do have some killer prices on the Bassani system at the link below. (add the part to your cart for the best price!)

Much drone from the Stingers?

Cheers,

The Stingers are just a little louder than the Bassani kit. They do drone a little at certain RPM's, but it is not at all excessive.

here is a link to a thread I created for mating the bassani aft-cat system to kooks LT headers.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...=bassani+kooks

It is LOUD......keep in mind there are 2 different bassani systems. A previous setup ran 2 mufflers much like 'every other' exhaust system and the newer system runs 1 muffler with a dual in-dual out with an integral x.

It is definitely louder with the headers as well........It is right up there with bullets. You can see right thru the muffler, it is more of a resonator than a muffler

some in car video I made several months ago......
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ssani_demo.flv

a video of the bassani exhaust with the stock manifolds/cats....
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bassani036.flv

and last but least the dyno video with the headers and the bassani exhaust....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9lr0i4UZfM

Hope these help.....the bassani costs half what the others do (with the exception of bullets and flowmaster) and they sound incredible.......DO IT!!!!

Interesting vids. How much louder would you say the Bassani aft-cat is compared to Stingers in percentage terms at idle and at WOT? Do this system drone badly at 75/80mph?

Cheers,
Ian.

I have heard both systems and IMO the bassani is not only louder, but deeper as well. Not quite double the borla but close......but half the price There is some resonance in the cabin. It became much more pronounced after the headers. With the stock manifolds/cats it was minimal and hardly noticeable.

The drone with the headers seems to be the most pronounced around 2200 RPM which is well out of the cruising range. At highway cruise speeds in 6th gear (70-80mph) it is quiet enough to whisper sweet nothings to my wife..... :o

Thanks for all the info.. So, with the stock manifolds and cats, it's almost as loud as the bullets, but definitely louder than the stinger. Does that about sum it up? Thanks

Default Any Fitment/Installation Problems on A6 with Bassani?

I want to get the Bassani Catback for my 07 A6.

Are there any Fitment/Installation problems with this system on the automatic A6??

Does the stock system have to be cut to be removed?

Any 'big' problem with drone? I would not mind a little drone at times.
