Default New Setup 11.45 08 A6

Well had the chance to get to the track last night.

First run 11.66 @ 122 with a 1.91 60' ( wheelspin galore )

Second run 11.63 @ 117 with a 1.66 60'

Third run 11.65 @ 117.5 with a 1.66 60' ( paddle shifted )

Fourth run 11.63 @ 115 with a 1.68 60'

I removed the exhaust cutouts to see what that would

Fifth run 11.45 @ 118.8 with a 1.63 60'

Sixth run was 11.64 @ 117.8 with a 1.63 60' ( hotlapped )

As you all can see my trap speeds are low due to what I beleive is too low a rev limiter. I makes every gearshift go into a massive bog and again as I am about to cross the line. I tried paddle shifting and holding gears. I could feel improvements but still every pass had bogs between shiftpoints and at finish line. I am generally pleased as I now know all I have to do is get the tune corrected for the shorter tires and these problems will be cured. I feel confident I can get an 11.3 soon. The weather was perfect 47 deg. with about 55 percent humidity. I do not know what the DA was.

jogar, as far as my launch technique, I stall it up to about 2200 and probably half-throttle it, until I feel it is stuck on the track I nail it down. I say probably because it is more of a feel for traction situation. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I just love to see the reaction of the old schoolers with the trailered track cars as I make those passes. It never gets old.

Runflats or DR's? Have you had your A6 tuned for faster shifting and TM removal?
Nice runs and a great start!

I see by your profile you use DR's and a 2800 stall converter.

Track elevation found here - http://www.dragtimes.com/County-Line...ackID-260.html

Weather conditions found here - http://www.weather.com/outlook/drivi...=0&when=030608

DA calculation formula I prefer found here -http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm

Judging how you said "last night" and the fact that you said "47deg", based off what the weather was last night, it appears you ran between 10pm and 11pm. Using your numbers listed and interpolating the others roughly (bar 30.13 and dew 34deg) I get a DA of -412'. You can use the exact time you ran and the links provided to produce a more accurate DA. Good job.

Nice runs, your 60fts look good and consistant, man. Oddly, the 1.9 60ft you listed didn't seem to hurt your et that badly. I agree it's funny to see high 11-12 second cars being trailered in, have a crew and then get waxxed by a "driven to the track" car by half a sec or better. Keep it up

Yeah those are some solid sixty foots, among some of the best for a bolt ons only C6...I'd figured that the torque convertered A6 could be a lethal combination, you need one of those Vigilantes now.

A little more track testing , like Atomic is doing, and I may be sold on one. I had a Vig in my 2K TA and pulled 1.5 60fts on bfg drs. I'd love to see what the vette would run with 60fts like that.

A converter alone will put you right in the 10s...converter and gears and you'll be FLYIN' (might need more tire then though ).
