There have been a few threads.....I recently read one in the Z06 forum. Try doing a search in all of the C6 section.

One guy dropped in seats from a Viper. I like those seats, too bad anyone with 1/2-way broad shoulders won't fit!

I'm getting really close to ordering the Sparco Milano Prestige in Red, but would really like to see some others who have gone the same route.

Those will not work..to large

Here are the Viper seats in the C6...amazing looking IMO..

Recaros

They also make Recaro GT (Same exact ones in the Porsche)

Sparcos that work
Evo
Roadster
Roadster 2

Corbeau also works. I think the style is A4

I personally would like to go with the Viper seats when the time comes.

Jon

Where can you purchase the Viper seats besides the dealer? And how much are they? I assume the dealer pricing is outrageous!

Dont steal my idea..

Ebay has them from 800-1200 a pair...ITS A STEAL for what the cost of seats run.

Ok, you go ahead and do all the work first and then you can tell me exactly what I'll need! I want to get a pair and then have them recovered in red with a Z06 emblem where "viper" used to be.

I just bought a used pair and am having them shipped to a custom interior shop to replace the seating surfaces and the "Viper" logo. Hope to find out what needs to be done to install them. Have the 3LT seats with side airbags now.
Anybody else done this conversion???

Quick question. My stock LT3 seats seem to have a lot of play in the tilt feature. For example, with out using the electric part of the seats you can lean them up 15degrees or so. AM i alone on this?

Do you use the stock seat brackets when using the Gen 3 Viper seats? Or do you buy another bracket that retrofits the Viper seats?

I had an 05 Viper and I'm 5'11", 182. The Viper seats are comfortable and I drove the car 1,200 miles from Bonham, TX to Phoenix, Az. The downside/upside is the side bolsters are like a race car whereby you're locked in . If you're much wider than I am the seats aren't going to be the most comfortable. The bottom line is if you track the car the Viper seats are G-force resistance, but for every day driving my 06 Vette seats are much more comfortable and I'd never switch back to the Viper seats.

Before giving up on the stock seats see what can be done to them to make them look like they are in a 150k exotic. They wont ever look at of place like some aftermarket seats can look.

A few pennies for a pack of 4.7 Ohm resistors will fix that problem..

Putting a pair of Sparco Roadsters on Pfadt seat mounts in mine next week. Should eliminate about 50lb.
