Default Routing those oil lines

Can anyone give me any guidance on routing those oil lines? I'm hooking them up to the EOC in a DeWitt radiator.

It's impossible to see enough of the route to know which side of other lines and cables to go on. I beat my hands up pretty good trying it last weekend, but had to give up.

Later this week I'll be putting headers on too, and I figure that will be an excellent time to try again, with the cat out of the way.

It should be very easy to install with header removed...I installed my cooler lines with the header loosened.

For those asking about swapping the Z51 cooler for the Z06 cooler and whether or not you can use the same oil lines. The answer is YES. As long as you are replacing an existing external cooler (not the internal radiator version that some Z51 cars have) the fittings are the same and they are in the same location.

I pulled my zo6 oil cooler and installed a Dewitts with internal cooler.
Which works better for my set-up. I had to change to the Z51 shorter oil lines. The zo6 were too long to hook-up with out alot extra length.

Has anyone installed the Z06 to a base C6 that had NO Z51 oil cooler to start with? I believe I saw posts that said it was a direct fit.

My car is an F55 car that came without an oil cooler. I have installed both the Z06 and Z51 oil coolers using a "Z06 take-off" oil cooler setup w/lines as a starting point...DIRECT FIT

Here's a link to the bible of manufacturing supplies:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#retaining-rings/=9cz355

The link is for a 13mm retaining ring. I am not sure if it's the one you need, but just search through the site for "retaining rings" for the one you want.

$5 for 5ea.

A word to the wise. Periodically inspect the Z06 cooler line where it transforms to a hose from the aluminum line coming from the block adapter. You should be able to see it just over and to the front of the front spring. My line came apart there at my last set of track days. Took the car into the shop on Oct. 11th and the part just came in yesterday the 22nd. From what I could see when I was under the car the crimp on one of the lines started coming apart and the hose was partially pulled out of the crimp. The dealer mechanic pretty much confirmed what I saw. If it had come completely apart I probably would have had a major incident on the track.

Also, as an FYI, when in a pinch a paper clip will work just fine. I used 2 for over a year and would probably be in still if I hadn't have found the pt# for the fittings.

To do this you need to mount an oil cooler adapter such as the Katech the one (or if someone has a GM part number even better) since it doesn't have any prior oil lines ports correct? I'm trying to help a buddy put one on his 06 base C6. Thanks!

The ports are just above the oil filter. remove the two bolts and wa-la. The Z06 oil lines bolt direct, just get a new gasket and reuse the old bolts.
