Default Which spring is softer?

Hi, i'm trying to find out which C6 base model non Z51 has the softer springs. Is it the soft ride springs on the C6 base model non Z51 automatic trans, or is it the soft ride springs on the C6 base model non Z51 C6 manual trans?

There are a choice of 6 springs. My guess would be which ever chassis is the lightest between the auto Vs manual trans, that seems to be the difference I show.

Leaf Spring
Front Suspension
Leaf Spring
Manual Trans
5 - Ride & Handling Suspension. 15233398
5 - Sport Suspension 15233396
5 - Soft Ride Suspension 15233397

Auto Trans
5 - Ride & Handling Suspension. 15233399
5 - Sport Suspension 15233400
5 - Soft Ride Suspension 15233398
Rear Suspension
Spring
Manual Trans
5 - Soft Ride Suspension 15233388
5 - Sport Suspension 15233387
5 - Ride & Handling Suspension. 15233386
5 - Special Suspension 15233392
Auto Trans
5 - Soft Ride Suspension 15233390

anyone swapped out a front spring yet on a C6? Looking to stiffen the front and just trying to gauge the level of difficulty.

Current issue of 'Vette' magazine has a write up. Book time is 1.6 hrs.

Looks to be rather easy.

Drop one lower control arm, measure trim height, unbolt the spring and slide out.

Gonna be doing mine very shortly .....

I replaced the springs on my 05 C6 in my driveway, its not as difficult as it seems, 1.15 hour to 1.45 is about what it takes, i thought it was easier to disconnect the lower ball joint, take the shocks, swaybar links a loose, it takes the tension off the spring. BE CAREFUL, ALWAYS REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST.

Thanks for the list of springs, I was wondering if the numbers were for the C5 or C6?

Yes thank you , the reason why i ask is the numbers engraved on my C6springs don't match any of those, my front has 22171750 and the rear has 22200944, the labels are not on neither one an they probably have the correct numbers on them.

The numbers engraved in the springs aren't the part numbers. The part numbers are on a tag attached to the spring.

Your # 22171750 corresponds to pt# 15233396 and 22200944 is pt# 15233387. At least that's what I have on my springs and those pt.#'s match my list for the sport suspension front & rear with the manual. The Z06 have different numbers BTW.

In days past it was determined by engine/suspension/options/

To be exact you would need to contact a Chebby dealer.

My best guess would be a manual with 1LT option as the softest spring.
