Hi guys,Is there any diy instuctions on how to replace a condenser.I put a freakin hole in mine when I installed my vararam.
I haven't tried to pull one, but have it fixed at an ac shop instead of buying a new one. The repair will be around $50.00.. + $180 for labor and refill... Ask me how I know???

I bought a vararam cai and need to cut the condenser shroud. My question is can I just permanently remove the cover? What purpose does it serve? Just remove it for good and don't cut it, can that be done?
Welcome to the club. I did it several years ago on my '06. It was the fault of Vararam because their template was way off. I spent a long time trimming the shroud and finally knicked the condenser. I bought a new one from Fred Bean's with a new shroud for $250. and a Vette mechanic at the local Chevy dealer installed it on the side for about $100.00 as I recall. P/N for the condenser for my '06 coupe, MN6 was 10442892 and the shroud was 10305278. The shroud is a PITA to get out. I like the Vararam but I must agree with others here that their quality is not the best. They agreed the template was incorrect but wouldn't help with condenser. This goes back several years. I do have a new in the box shroud and a cut one if you need a replacement. Not sure what they're worth?
