Has anyone tried these aftermarket paddle shifter replacements?

Yes, I obtained them from a different vendor, but basically the same item. Upshifts are now on the right(push or pull) and downshift on the left paddle(same). To me it's more natural to hit the back of the paddle then to push the little 3-sided thumb button. Like they say in the instructions, unless you know where to hit the release for the air bag it's very frustrating poking around trying to find it.
