Hello to all. I have a 07 A6 Z51 coupe with a little over 13,000 miles. When the car is cold (like sitting here at work all day), I am getting what I can only relate to as a "groan" from the rear suspension. It seems to be more noticable in "reverse" than in "drive", and once I am rolling down the road for about 1/4 mile, it goes away (at least I think it does because I can't hear it over the exhaust or the radio). By the time I get home (22 miles away) or have parked it only for a short time and gotten back in it, it seems to be gone. It is definitely not a metallic sound or a "rubbing" noise, which makes me think it might be a wheel bearing. Seems to be coming from either the center section or the right rear. Sure, I drive it as hard as the So Cal freeway system will allow me to, but never drag raced the car or had it on a closed course. Of course I talk to the guy at the dealer, and he claims to have never heard of such a problem before. With my luck, they will not be able to duplicate it once it is there and I'll end up having to live with it. Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks in advance .....
