Default Battery Relocation

Does anyone know if the battery will fit in the trunk cubby holes? Also is there a relocation kit and is it a difficult install? Just thinking about transfering some weight back to help the balance now that I have the paxton. Thanks

was thinking about going FI and researched this a lot. Yes it can be relocated. Yes it will fit. There is no kit out for the C6 last time I checked. Dragon Racing (Ithink that is what they are called) said they would fab a kit and send it to me though. Might want to check them out. But when I asked a shop that races, they laughed at me and said that on a 35oo lb car, moving the battery after adding the s/c is a joke if you think it will change anything.

There you go

I relocated mine to the passenger side compartment in the trunk. I went to a welding shop and purchased enough welding lead, added the ends and made the connections. It's worked very good. I located the math. tank in the battery compartment. Has worked out good.

Just add a blower to your chair to balance the weight.

Z06 has it in the trunk, just get the Z06 parts from Chevy. Remember to use a 2006 or 2007 battery because it has vent ports.

Battery won't fit in the 08 because something is in the cubby hole behind the passenger seat.

That something is the OnStar controller, which can be removed or relocated with a bit of work. For removal, the computer communication bus connector will have to be dealt with, all other connectors can simply be pulled. For relocation, perhaps Z06 components could be used. I'll be pulling my OnStar box as soon as I work out the comm bus issue.
