Default Need some Help Building Shortblock?

Ive decided to go N/A with some nitrous. Im wanting to build the biggest cube motor i can in this 05 C6. Ive talked to some peope and they said they only regret in going with a 408 is not going bigger. Im guessing 440 is a good choice? Here are my questions? Any shops want to give me some quotes on part prices?

1. Who to buy 440 Shortblock from? TSP?

2. AFR 225s? Is this a good choice for this motor? Where to buy?

3. Will the 440 bolt right into the C6 without any changes. Im going to buy LG Headers. Do I buy the z06 headers or the c6 headers?

4. Fuel system? What are you guys doing with the fuel systems?

5. Clutch?

6. Cam selection? I dont want anything to crazy, just a nice lobe. who do i talk to?

7.I kno there are a bunch of little things i have to buy. Any suggestions?

Why not check with some expert tuners in your area - Jeremy Formato or England Green come to mind.

You can check out Texas Speed and GMPP for starters. DTE is using GMPP LS3 block, heads and intake for my 415 inch build - no bore only stroke. You can get a 454 from a stroked LS7.

Call Roger at Horsepower Sales in Pompano. He's modded many of the vettes here in town. It's a family owned shop with fair prices and great work and they stand behind their work. 954-984-8040 or hpsflorida here on the board.

you either need to resleeve or go LSx or warhawk to safely get to 441 with a heavy shot otherwise you will go through pistons. unless you want to spend $3k on a sheetmetal intake, you may want to consider ls7 style heads, ET or allpro. juice will necessitate thick head decks and larger primaries than 1 3/4. there are several large shops in the counrty who can provide a turn key solution, ECS, vet docs, cartech, LG, MTI and A&a in addition to the ones merntioned
