Omega jack improvement
For all those who have an Omega floor jack, here is something I did that you might find useful. When I got it, I did the usual oiling of the wheels and pivot points but it was difficult to modulate the valve when letting the jack down with a load on it, it would just drop quickly. So I drilled a 1/2 inch hole all the way through the handle just down from the rubber grip. Then I use a 1/2 inch piece of bar stock about 18 inches long that I find much easier to modulate the jack valve with. Along with using it to jack up my Corvette, it also works great with my Kwik Lift.
