here's how it works guys, every 1000 ft of da is worth 3% of your hp or rwhp it doesn't mater. so +3000ft da to -1000 ft da 4x3% of rwhp. roughly 400 rwhp 12 more rwhp x 4 = 48 more rwhp so lets say 4-5 1/10s faster, so add that to your best time stay home and keep telling everyone that's what you ran. its just like saying i ran 10.92 in
+200+300 da if i catch a -3000 da which is possible in a lot of the country i could have 40 more rwhp and get 4/10s better and get 10.5 now that's why corrections don't work

I hear ya Dennis. But here's another problem that my left coast friends don't want to ackknowledge. There seems to be more to it then just a DA calculation. Just look at the facts. I've now run a best of 124.4 MPH at SAC, and backed it up with a few 123s. I have a tad more HP then I did then, and ran a best of 119.64 last weekend at Fontana. Remember, there were 2 bone stock Zs there, and both ran 117 MPH against me in the two races I had.
One Z did hit 120 on a few runs, but was in the 118/119 mph range most of the day. I ran 119 with runflats and MTs, on the same day.
I say if you did add about 40 HP to our runs last weekend, the Zs and I would have come right up to what we would have run at 0 ft, around 124 to 125 MPH.
I don't tell anyone I ran anything other then what I ran, and that was 2 bone stock Zs that saw my taillights!!!

oh yes it works both ways minus da plus da its the same, they other factor is cold most guys cant drive and get traction in the 30s. i remember running an 11.62 at 116 in dec last year and running an 11.62 at 115 in the spring da and weather conditions are not really calcuable its good in theory but just doesn't work 100% of the time
As for myself, sure Dennis I'd race you half way between us, loser pays expenses. Bolt on to Bolt on 2 out of 3.
JB
that's great JB! but since you made the challenge and i am the champ, and you are not even a number 1 contender i pick the race and location atco Dec 2008 i will finalise the details later if you accept

Only one problem my friend, by Dec 2008 whose to say you'll still be the champ...
Yes you are my friend!! The way your car sits right now, I'd put even $$ on you and any auto on the C6 fast list, same track, same day!
Oh yes, after hearing about his bone stock 1/8th mile times it's very possible that he could be the quickest in the 1/4 as well.
Having nearly 40rwhp extra certainly doesn't hurt.
I might be wrong, but isn't density altitude the relative altitude under standard atmospheric conditions? If so, the link provide earlier will work to calculate ET's back to zero elevation. I know the link only has some of the higher elevation tracks, but there are several with elevations at 3700 feet. The conversion factors will be very close since your DA is 3600 feet.

Know one will ever own that spot except Dennis,Dennis owns the #1 spot.
Normally I would never agree with a statement like that...stellar track times/records get broken all of the time but something tells this one REALLY might be VERY true.
Until I go for it of course.
