I'm seeing no real difference on my FI application, but it hasn't hurt anything either. The fans are tuned to come on early and maybe it maintains cooler temps earlier...I can't tell. I can tell you that for three bucks at the local auto parts store, it can't hurt.

I wouldnt run one. I'm pretty sure GM designed the engine to run the temps that it runs. Maybe if you are constantly tracking the car and it sees steady temps of 235+ all the time yeah, why not. But for a street car, I would think it would run worse with such a cold t-stat.
