Default LS 3 Stock Intake

My '08 has a flat rectangular box off the right side (from the drivers seat) of the air-bridge, before the throttle body. My '06 LS2 did not have this. What is it? Some sort of baffle or drain? Anyone know what it is?

Yes its a baffle to quiet the intake noise. Just like your intake manifold has foam insulation for valvetrain noise.
