I just bought a leftover 07 coupe. The other day I left it sit overnight with the key remote in the car, When I went to start it up the next day, the dash said no fobs detected and wouldnt start. I even tried the other one. After sitting there for 10 mins and trying, it finally worked. I decided to check here first before calling the stealer. Any comments?
Did you have any electronic devices plugged into the car's circuit that might have run the car battery down? Don't forget that you can plug the fob into that slot in the glovebox if it happens again. Also be sure you don't have cell phones and/or cell phone chargers in the vicinity of the fob when starting the car.
My 57 was having some work done on it, so I put my 07 C6 in the garage once and had the same problem. Called the dealer, he was baffled also. Almost sent out a flatbed to pick it up and bring it in. Ended up rolling it back out of the garage into the driveway and it worked fine again. I have a garage door opener directly above the car, and an electrical subpanel in the wall approx. 8 feet to the right. My guess is the interference messes with it. Also, my car is now 16 months old, and had to switch fobs to #2 .... seems like battery in #1 (the one I use daily) is going because it also causes me to get a "no fob detected" message on a regular basis ....

Is your car starting okay now, are you sure you get a "NO FOB DETECTED" message? I have the same problem but I don't get that message, just the service engine symbol lights up.
This happens to me a lot, usually while I am cleaning the car and opening and closing the doors a lot which runs down the battery. Sometimes I don't even have to charge the battery, just let it sit for a couple of hours and then it starts. After a load, batteries recover same small extent without re-charging. This is do to the cooling effect increasing the electrolyte (hydrometer) level.
Not to be Captain Obvious, but did you try moving the fob around?
Tried everything, the problem is that it doesn't have a problem recognizing the FOB (because I don't get the FOB not found message), it just doesn't want to go through the ignition cycle. It even happened in front of the Service Advisor at the stealership and he says that he can't do anything until it totally dies.
