Thanks. The coilovers definitely took getting used to. I live in a beach town with rough streets; had to adjust the camber a couple times to get that sweet spot between what I can live with as far as roughness and what I want to keep as far as response and control.
On the open road they really make a huge difference. I also switched to Z51 sway bars and lowered the car 1" rear, 1/2" front. No longer am I fighting the car in tight turns at speed. It's like I'm on a rail now.
It looks really nice.
I think I will do big brakes first and then coilovers. My 05 is a Z51 and I have the camber kit and bushings.
MIRoch; I'm not trying to sell rotors here, thell go no problem. But you may be inadvertingly mis informed. If you are going to some 17in. old type wheel, or doing something really strange new, again I say "somethings wrong" (I'm just trying to help here, being the tire and wheel expert that I am) All 19in. OEM and aftermarket wheels for a C6 vette will acept Bear Eradispeed 14.5in. 2 peice rotors. Your not going to find another by the way. I think somehow your wheel guy herd 14+ and *** umed you ment ZO6 callipers and rotors. Most aftermarket wheels will not clear the Z callipers. Do yourself a favor and research this with Baer Techs. There easy to talk to and they know. You may otherwise miss an oppertunity to have the greatest looking, Top quality S...! "Baers" (not mine, go by'em new) You will be glad once you have them. (If you find I'am not the wheelspert and I'm a d...b **********) buy different wheels, your not on the paa th! TWP
The plus 2s do not fit all C6 wheels. 21cmc modified my calipers so I could use the +2s with my CCW 505s
I did and and sent Baer photos of my rotors. They said my rotor cracking was within limits. The limits are the same as GM sets for the Z51 drilled rotors.
I do not know about the warranty being honored for track use.
Do you have that in writing? I would love to see that.
If you have cracks in your rotors, you don't belong on a track. You are endangering your life and others. Acceptable limits?
I have drilled & slotted Baer Eradispeed front & rear on my 05 Z51 now. The fronts are starting to crack around the drill holes. The rears are great. I would be interested in your slotted only Eradispeed 2 piece front rotors only. E mail me a price and photo.
Are there any cracks in your front rotors? gary@grbowler.com
Baer warrants their Eradispeed rotors for life against warping. I wonder if that extends to cracking. I would call them to check it out.

The Following is from GM:
Subject:
Information on Visual Brake Rotor Surface Cracking
Models:
2005-2006 Chevrolet Corvette
with Heavy Duty Brakes (RPO J55)
Important: DO NOT replace OR resurface rotors for small surface cracks that are described below.
The pass criteria for thermal fatigue testing specifies that the rotor is allowed to have small thermal cracking up to 2/3 of the brake plate surface. The brake plate surface for the front rotor is 50 mm (1.96 in) radially which means cracks are permitted up to 33 mm (1.29 in) radially across the rotor brake face in length. This would be the pass criteria for the end of severe testing. To have a large safety margin, a rule of thumb - small thermal cracks are allowable and the rotor does not need to be replaced unless the cracks connect from hole to hole or the crack reaches the OD of the rotor.

I don't plan on tracking the vette but thats good info. I shall see tomorrow how well the 14" rears will fit. I have spacers on hand just incase...hopefully I won't need them

The Z51 replacement Baer 14" rear 2 piece rotors fit my stock wheels ok but when I tried a CCW wheel I needed a 1/4" spacer. CCW did not know I had the big rotors because the Corvette parts store I got the CCW wheels from(that knew) did not tell CCW.
When CCW found out they were nice enough to make me a new set of rear wheels for FREE.

Joel,
I seem to agree with you now that I took the time to think about it. I ordered new rotors from Baer.
This time I ordered slotted only rotors.
Thanks for your input.
Gary

Maybe I didn't see it but what wheels and size are you putting on?
