Default clutch issue

The clutch pedal on my 08 Z51 engages about 2 inches before it's completely out. It's very different than anything I have driven before. I have even stalled and I haven't done that since I was 17. I took it to the dealer and he said it was a hydraulic clutch and couldn't be adjusted. I had the mechanic take it out and he stalled it twice. Anyone else have this problem, is it common. Is it something I am just going to have to get used to? Any help would be appreciated. The dealer who sells maybe 2 or 3 vettes a year says there is nothing they can do about it because it's normal even though there mechanic stalled it twice.

It's not normal IMHO. Mine and every other C5 and C6 I've driven engage about 2" from the floor (I'm guessing, never measured but it feels like a normal clutch). You might try changing out the clutch fluid, it helps with the clutch stcking down on hard launches, maybe it will help here. It won't hurt and is cheap to try.

How did you not stall since you were 17? Not even once? If you're not still 17 years old, and have been driving manual cars all the time, this sounds unbelievable to me :P
