customized muffler
hey guys i called the muffler shop and they said they will customize my stock muffler to make the sound really loud and aggressive.. because i really want my exhaust to sound like loudmouth 1
and i am really worried that the custom mufflers that they make for me will be loud and thick like loud mouth 1 .. i want it pretty them loud and they said they are going to charge me 350$ ... they are going to upgrade my stock muffler for it ...
do u guys recommmend to do it ???

it sure would be good to SEE it, and HEAR it first. I mean, $350, and what if you don't like it? You'll be out the money and stuck with the product.
Do they have any customers that already have one that you can go look at, sit in, ride in, etc.? That sure would go a long way with me to make sure I'm getting the right looking and sounding mufflers.

I am in the middle of modifying a second set of mufflers. I cut the tail pipe off, and seperated the 2 tips. I then added a second outlet, like the Z06 has. The additional pipe is pretty much a passthrough, so it should make some noise now. I will let you know how it sounds in a few weeks when I put one on. Cost me $20 in pipe, free donor mufflers.

I just put on my Flowmaster American Thunder set today. I bought it used from a muffler shop, installed for $300. Im really pretty happy with it, it sounds pretty beefy, and nothing is annoying at any RPM. IF anything, i may go a bit louder with the bullets. In my opinion, if youre going to drop $350, go with Flowmaster or Magnaflow.

this is silly!
If you guys want noise, then get some electric cutouts for about the same price. Spend all that money on a car and want noise. LOL sounds like me. Except I'm into HP too!
