I just installed a Procharger kit on my '05 C6. The oil temp is running around 225 and the coolant temp is either 207 or 218, depending on weather you go by the DIC or the dash gauge. Are these temps acceptable and why does the DIC not agree with the gauge in the dash. It made 560 hp. TTW and 545 lb. ft. of torque. Power is good but I don't know about the temps. Can someone help with this?
Big Bollas Mod. Search it. It is a Saturday afternoon project, and will reduce temps, with a stock cooling system, about 20 degrees. My ProCharged 05 has a Meziere electric water pump, Ron Davis 57mm custom radiator, big oil cooler, 160 t'stat., and runs at a constant 175 coolant degrees and 185 oil temp. Good luck.
Thanks for your responses! Would you happen to know why the DIC and the in dash coolant temp. gauge do not agree? Is there a calibration procedure for the DIC ?
even with the bollas mods I'm seeing temps averaging about 10 to 15 degrees less than you. Your rear wheel numbers are very impressive. I didn't put down that much. just a bit above 500 first go around. What else did you do?
I haven't done anymore mods, but it didn't start making good power till about the 6th. dyno pull. We found that the stock spark plugs load up under normal driving conditions. It took a few pulls to get it to clean out and make good power, even though the tune looked to be dead on. I think I'll try some different plugs like the NGK-TR-6. I'm also having some "squeaking " noise when it's cold, I don't know if that's normal or not.
Actually. boost can blow out the stock plugs. Your car will run much better with the TR-6's. Also, check your belt tension for the squeaking issue. Or, ProChargers do rattle at idle. This is normal. If your car is stock, except for the ProCharger, your numbers are "very" exceptional. Is it a PS1 or D1 head unit?
The head unit is a PS1, and to be honest about it these numbers where made on a "mustang" dyno and I was told they sometimes show higher numbers than others. It is just easier for me to post the actual dyno results than to speculate on the accuracy of the dyno. The squeeak goes away when the car warms up.....

Thank you in advance for your help!
I have a PISC and about 545 RWHP and my temps are always around 185 or so, tops was 210 in traffic, with a/c in the summer. The vette doctors moved some plumbing around to get more air around the intercooler and to the radiator....... there is a thread in here somewhere about how you can do it yourself....you'll see drastic drop in temps!
The oil on the other hand...... never have seen 225, so I dont know

Those dyno #'s seem way off for just a procharger and nothing else........unless your running like 15 lbs of boost! ...just doesnt make sense

You should be around 490 at the tire, I'm assumming....with no other mods
My temps seem to run 190-200 regardless of outside temps.....unless it's mid July/August here in Houston and I'm in traffic- then I'll see 210-215ish. One thing you need to make sure you do is re-program your fan to either come on earlier, or just stay on......I've got mine set to run 24/7 when the car is on. I think from the factory it's programmed to come on at 170ish?? That will def help. Also, the Bollas mod is a must for blower cars. All major shops are now installing them with this mod
