I had this in the scan and tune section but got no reply.
How good is this what are the gains with this???
I am seriously considering this because I want to tune after every mod, till Im done. So to save some money,Diablo 2 (It has 3 settings) then get custom tune by cartech /ECS when all modding is complete.
then I can sell the Diablo 2 and get some money back. would like some opinions on this approach. instead of paying 450 for each custom tune. :o :o
thanks in advance
Mike
Oh I forgot which one do I want serial or USB interface???

I have a predator that I used for mine, but cannot give you any specific numbers. The best thing to do is register on the diablosport forum and ask the question there.
The Diablosport II by SLP is a Diablosport Predator, such as the one I have; however the difference comes in the custom tunings that come with it. I have heard nothing about this particular model so I cannot say with absolute certainty that it is any, or how much better than the tunings contained in the regular Predator.
My main problem with the predator is that there is still no transmission tuning for the A6, the folks over at diablosport have been working on it for quite some time. One of the good things you can do with the predator (either model) is that you can perform data logging then modify the tune parameters for your car. Any way you look at it, the tunes contained in either model are 'canned' and a custom one should be written for your vehicle. There are many benefits to using a Predator, the ability to read codes and restore you car back to the factory tune is also a great benefit.
Back to your original question though, post on the diablosport forum, there are many knowledgeable people over there that I'm sure will help.
They both look identical (from the pictures I have seen anyway), like I said above though, it seems like the only difference is the tunings that come standard. Perhaps the best way to find out is to call Maryland Speed or Diablosport and find out directly from them.
Let me know what they say..
I have some datalogging to do yet, when I do I'll be able to 'dial' in the tune just for what my car needs. I'm sure that is something that you'll have to do regardless of what type or make of handheld tuner you use.
