Why, so you could have less lateral support, no power adjustments and a seat that is lose and bobs up and down while you are driving?
Not to mention 4+ year old leather...
The seats on my 2003 Z06 sucked.

All Corvette seats SUCK in my opinion. I've had both C5 Z06 & C6. The seats in my GTO were LIGHT YEARS ahead of any vette seats. You'd think that they would give you more in a $50k plus car. For the money spent, you're better off finding a nice leather aftermarket seat. You'll get MUCH better support and comfort.

I agree, C5 and C6 seats are worthless ... C4 seats were okay, but I long for the days of the Recaro's in my Trans Am.

My C5 seats were OK. I like the seats in my C6. There are/were better seats - My favorite were the ones in my '88 Conquest. I wouldn't spend the $$ for the available better seats though.

Perhaps they are fine for many, but for me, they are very uncomfortable. I can never find a position where my hips or legs don't hurt after an hour on the highway. The problem is the seat cushion. It is too short and lacks contour for proper support.

I've owned many cars over the last 40 years and I would rank the seats of the C6 near the bottom in terms of comfort for me.

By far, the best seats in a car I have owned were in the 1985 Ford Turbo Coupe. Not sure, but they may have been Recaros. If not, they were very good copies. Another good set were in my 1990 Chevy Winnebago Conversion van. Lots of foam. They were like recliners in my living room.

The C4 seats in my 1996 Corvette were just OK as were the C3 in my 1971 Corvette.

I just (arrived Monday) drove my Corvette from LA to Detroit, then from Detroit to Chicago, then from Chicago to New York. The longest leg of the trip was 19 hours continuous (Vail, CO to Detroit, MI).
This is also the car I bought in Tampa, and drove to LA over 2 days (Tampa - San Antonio, San Antonio - LA).
I have no problems whatsoever sitting down in the car for 19 hours; the seats do not bother me at all...
I'm 5'11" and 150lbs... Are you much taller / fatter perhaps? Otherwise I would say keep playing with the adjustments; there is definitely a sweet spot in there.

I heard the C5 seats were better, I guess not lol....
I just hate the flimsyness of the seats, my last vette was a 95' ZR-1 and the seats were awesome......, there is absolutly no lateral support in the c6 seats!

So, I guess the c5 seats are out.... the c6 has no lateral support either, and they are so freakin flimsy

You will also encounter a problem with the seat belt buckle being different from the C5. I believe the C6 metal tongue will not fit in the C5 buckle.

Along with the lack of upper lateral support. I still can't believe that GM has not figured how to make great seats for their top of the line car. Come on GM C4 seats were light years ahead of the current C6 seats.

You may want to investigate some aftermarket offerings... Recaro makes some seats that fit the C6, and those aren't just more supportive: they also shed a LOT of weight from your car..
Unfortunately I would lose my side airbags if I got some; that's my reason for not getting them....
